Youth in Revolt

Youth in Revolt is a coming-of-age comedy that puts a fresh and outrageous stamp on a tale of adolescent obsession and rebellion. Based on the acclaimed novel by C.D. Payne, Youth in Revolt is the story of Nick Twisp - a unique, but affable teen with a taste for the finer things in life like Sinatra and Fellini - who falls hopelessly in love with the beautiful, free-spirited Sheeni Saunders (Portia Doubleday) while on a family vacation. But family, geography and jealous ex-lovers conspire to keep these two apart. With Sheeni's encouragement, Nick abandons his dull, predictable life and develops a rebellious alter ego: Francois. With his ascot, his moustache and his cigarette, Francois will stop at nothing to be with Sheeni and leads Nick Twisp on a path of destruction with unpredictable and uproarious consequences.

This is exactly what you would expect from Michael Cera (Nick). I don't really care for the movies he's in. He always plays the same character, the weird boy who can't get a girl, finally does and screws it up and then gets her back at the end. The movie just has a weird feeling to it all together. Sure, there were parts that I liked, but not much. I think I laughed once. This is supposed to be a comedy! Not a movie for kids, lots of sexual content, drug use, and foul language. In the first 5 minutes there were at least 3 sexual scenes. It's basically about how Nick meets a Sheeni falls in love and gets into a lot of trouble to win her love. I think that is stupid because if someone can't accept you for who you are then don't worry about them.Well, I'm not going to go on that rabbit trail, back to the movie. This guy is just doomed to have horrible relationship problems because his mom has 2 different boyfriends in the movie and his dad has a 25 yr old girlfriend that leaves him for a druggie. Now, maybe this is your kind of movie, and if so you should definately watch it. I thought I would like it, but just didn't. I had to force myself to finish it so I could write my blog. So watch the trailer, if you like it click on the Amazon link to purchase it. I know that a lot of people do like it, I'm just not one of those people.

When In Rome

An ambitious young New Yorker (Kristen Bell), disillusioned with romance, takes a whirlwind trip to Rome where she defiantly plucks magic coins from a fountain of love, inexplicably igniting the passion of those who threw them in: a sausage magnate (Danny DeVito), a street magician (John Heder), an adoring painter (Will Arnet) and a self-admiring model (Dax Shepard). But when a charming reporter (Josh Duhamel) pursues her with equal zest, how will she know if his love is the real thing?

If you like your typical romantic comedy, you will LOVE this!!Kristen Bell and Josh Duhamel are awesome in this movie! I have always loved these two on their own and to see them together, well, they just have chemistry. This movie was amazing. Call me a sap, but it had me in tears at one point. It isn't your "go to Rome fall in love" movie, instead she takes coins from the fountain of love and the men who's coins she takes fall in love with her, or at least they think they are in love. They do everything they can to win her love, but the only one she falls for is Nick (Josh Duhamel). Is Nick one of the one's who's coin she took? Could be. You have to wait til the very end to find out when she does the only thing she can to reverse what she has done. You have to see this movie! I will definitely watch this one again!!

Unthinkable

Since this is the first review I have posted I will explain my layout. First I will post the "product description" given by Amazon or another reputable source, then I will give my review of the movie, then I will post links to trailers when possible.

Description
The most suspenseful thriller of the year explores just how far we will go to protect ourselves and our country. When a nuclear expert-turned-extremist (Michael Sheen, Underworld) plants devices in three separate cities, the country's counter-terrorism force springs into action and captures him. But the location of his bombs remains a mystery. With time running out, FBI agent Helen Brody (Carrie-Anne Moss, Disturbia) agrees to work alongside a mysterious interrogator known only as "H" (Samuel L. Jackson, Lakeview Terrace), whose ruthless methods get results. But a power struggle develops between Brody, "H', and the terrorist, and what happens next is unbelievable and -ultimately-Unthinkable!

Review
When I started watching this movie I was unsure whether I would like it or not since it is not the type of movie I would normally watch. However, it was very easy to get into and stay hooked. I love a movie that can hold my attention and this one definately did it. The movie basically is about the interigation of this terrorist. At points it had me on the edge of my seat wondering what was going to happen next. The ending definately a good one. I don't like an ending that leaves you hanging or with more questions than you started out with. This is not one of those endings. I would most likely watch this one again. Definately not a movie for kids as there are gruesome scenes and foul language, but definately worth watching for adults. This movie is rated R and 97 minutes long. I hope you enjoy this movie like I did!
